The Belleville Area Chamber Foundation invites you to be a part of the Winter Fest Parade in beautiful downtown Belleville!

Rules and Expectations

1.) All entries must be decorated with working lights.  Vehicles with headlights that remain are asked to please cover them during participation to eliminate distraction.  (Black tape works well) 

2.) Music is highly encouraged.

3.) Entries will be evaluated based on theme and use of lights.  A minimum of 1,000 clear or colored lights are suggested. 

4.) The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to reject any entry that is not in good taste, inappropriate, or not in the best interest of the parade.

5.) All entries should be properly identified with signs and/or banners with the organizations name so the spectators and the announcer know who you are.

6.) Only one powered vehicle per entry.

7.) Equestrian and animal units must provide their own accompanying clean up personnel and equipment.  If you have a vehicle or carriage, it must have lights on it to go through the parade.

8.) All parade participants are required to conduct themselves in such a manner as not to infringe on the rights of those people living along the parade route.

9.) No Santa’s or Mrs. Clause please.  We have the “real” Santa and Mrs. Claus.

10.) The Parade will step off from the High School parking lot at 5:30pm.

11.) All walkers in walking entries must carry lights. Walkers could have flashlights or pins that light up on their clothing.  Riders in a float or trailer must have decorative lights on it as well.

12.) All generators for floats should be hidden from sight and confined to a small area to eliminate noise.  It is up to the persons in charge of the float to determine where that will be.

13.) Santa Claus will be at the LIBRARY after the parade & fireworks to greet the children.

14.) Enter on Davis Street to line up in the main parking lot of Belleville High School.  Parade line up begins at 3:15pm. If you are parking at BHS, park on the WESTSIDE of High School – NO Parking will be allowed on East Side of the school

a.) You will be contacted by email with staging & line up instructions. Your ‘participants’ must arrive before 5:00, they all do not have to be present during staging.

b.) Parade Participant drop off will be in the west driveway.

c.) Porta Potties will be available in the High School parking lot.

d.) All trash must be cleaned up before leaving the parade staging area.

15.) Trophies will be awarded for the following awards: 

a.) Grand Marshals Award for Best Float

b.) Best Use of Lights

c.) Best Use of Theme

d.) Most Enthusiastic

16.) Deadline to receive float applications is November 27th

17.) By submitting this application, you hold harmless the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce, and any or all sponsors of the event for any injury or loss.


A Violation of any of the following rules may result in you and/or your organizations removal from current or future parades
